Jones Day's Michael Bradfield appointed FDIC General Counsel

Washington, DC - Jones Day's Michael Bradfield has been appointed General Counsel of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Mr. Bradfield served in various positions in the United States Treasury Department (1962-1975), including Assistant General Counsel for International Affairs, and General Counsel of the Board of Governors, Federal Reserve System (1981-1989), before becoming a partner at Jones Day.
At the FDIC, he will be in charge of the Legal Division, which is responsible for legal work on regulatory issues, as well as FDIC transactions, litigation, and corporate and commercial claims. The Legal Division currently has 520 employees nationwide.
