Jones Day mourns the loss of Andy Steinberg

May 2012

Jones Day mourns the loss of Andy Steinberg, partner in the Firm's Government Regulation Practice, on May 20. An outstanding regulatory lawyer who knew aviation law inside and out, Andy was as generous, committed, unassuming and selfless as he was proficient. He was always thinking of our clients and dedicated himself to taking care of their needs. Andy joined Jones Day following a distinguished career in the federal government and the private sector. He held the two most senior aviation regulatory positions in the United States as the assistant secretary of transportation for aviation and international affairs from 2006 - 2008 and as chief counsel of the Federal Aviation Administration from 2003 - 2006. Prior to this government service, he was general counsel of Sabre and Travelocity.com and associate general counsel of American Airlines. Our thoughts are with his wife and family.
