Jones Day adds Isaac West to M&A team in Brisbane

Jones Day has announced that Isaac West has joined the global law firm as an M&A partner in the Firm's Brisbane, Australia Office.

Mr. West has represented a broad range of listed and unlisted companies in mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets activities. He has extensive experience in, and a deep understanding of, agribusiness and the natural resources sector.

"Isaac's strong experience and capabilities will enhance the work we do for our clients in Queensland and nationally, particularly in agribusiness and the resources sector," said John Cooper, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Brisbane Office. "He's joining an experienced team that has demonstrated great insight, and an unwavering commitment to client service."

Mr. West's recent matters include advising the Queensland Investment Corporation on its acquisition of a controlling interest in The North Australia Pastoral Company, which manages 5.8 million hectares across Queensland and the Northern Territory. He also represented Queensland Gas Company during its $5.2 billion on-market takeover, ERM Power on its $100 million initial public offering and listing on ASX, and PanAust Limited in its $358 million capital raising.
