Jack Huang is one of the leading M&A and corporate governance lawyers in Greater China and one of the first international corporate lawyers who pioneered in representing multinational corporations in China investment matters in the late 1970s. For more than 30 years, he has advised clients on complex cross-border M&As, hostile takeovers, management and leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, high-stakes disputes, and corporate control battles. Jack represents both public and private companies in various industries including semiconductor, TMT, automobile, financial services, private equity, and manufacturing. Jack has practiced law in Hong Kong, New York, and Taipei.

Recent M&A transactions include Micron Technology's acquisition of Inotera (US$6 billion), Hermes Microvision's acquisition by ASML (US$3.1 billion), SPIL's defense of unsolicited tender offer by ASE and subsequent joint formation of industrial holding company with ASE, MediaTek's acquisition of MStar Semiconductor (US$3.8 billion), and Fubon Financial's acquisition of ING Life's Taiwan business (US$600 million).

Ranked in the "Senior Statesmen" band by Chambers Global and Asia-Pacific guides, Jack is described as "a prominent figure in this field," "well known for maintaining excellent relationships with clients," and is praised for "giv[ing] more than just legal advice."

Jack has served as chairman of the Taiwan Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity Council since 2014. He also serves on the board of many companies and civic organizations.
