Lee Garrett oversees the litigation practice in the Atlanta Office. He has been involved in civil litigation since 1974. His practice emphasizes complex litigation and has involved First Amendment, product liability, construction, contract, and environmental-related issues, particularly in the areas of construction contracts and construction litigation; First Amendment litigation, libel, slander, defamation, and causes of action arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act; and environmental litigation, including toxic tort claims and environmental claims arising under various state and federal statutes. He has argued cases before various U.S. District Courts, U.S. Courts of Appeal, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Government Board of Contract Appeals, the Environmental Protection Agency, and various state and local courts.
Lee has written and lectured extensively before various groups, including seminars sponsored by The National Law Journal, the Practising Law Institute, the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia, including seminars on "The Product Liability of Manufacturers, Hazardous Wastes, and Toxic Torts" and "Business and the First Amendment." He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Lee has been listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers and Georgia Super Lawyers and in the premiere issue of Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition (April 2008).
