Rick McKnight is Partner-in-Charge in Los Angeles. His practice primarily involves complex business litigation. He has had an active trial docket, including successful bench and jury trials of antitrust, contract, securities, oil and gas, health care, fraud, intellectual property, business tort, ERISA, entertainment, product liability, bankruptcy, environmental, and tax cases in such venues as Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Wilmington, Palm Springs, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. He also has been active in alternative forms of dispute resolution and has both recovered and defeated the recovery of substantial punitive damages awards.
Rick frequently has lectured on trial and pretrial practice and procedures for the Federal Practice Institute, the Los Angeles Barristers, the Federal Bar Association, and the Bankruptcy Judges Conference. He serves on the board of directors of St. Vincent Medical Center. Rick is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
