Fuli Cao's practice involves the tax and business aspects of international transactions between China and other countries and regions, including inbound and outbound China investments, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and restructuring, private equity setup and planning, leasing, structured financings, and tax dispute resolution.

Fuli advised Timken in its sale of needle roller bearing business to JTEKT, Resilience Capital Partners in its acquisition of the satellite communications business of Andrew Corporation, Rhodia on China tax and regulatory matters in connection with the sale of its isocyanates businesses to the Perstorp Group, and Bekaert SA on its investments in China. Other clients he has advised include AngloGold Ashanti, Apple, Diebold, Qualcomm, PolyOne, Scotts, Textron, Total, and Worthington Industries.

Fuli is the author of Corporate Income Tax and Practice in the People’s Republic of China (Oxford 2011) and a contributor to Tax Law Client Strategies in Asia and New Zealand (Aspatore 2009) and BNA Tax Management Portfolio Corporate Bankruptcy (2010). He is a speaker on China tax and investment at various forums. He is a certified public accountant in the United States.
