Executive Roundtable Series - Taking on the Government: Litigation Against the Executive and Legislative Branches

December 7, 2011

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (CLE credit approval pending)

Breakfast will be served.

In today's environment, private industry often finds itself opposite the federal government. Sometimes companies are on the offensive—seeking to invalidate federal laws and regulations and/or advance pro-business policies through litigation. Sometimes they're on the defensive—fending off enforcement actions by the Department of Justice and/or regulatory agencies, or responding to congressional subpoenas and investigations. Either way, such matters often thrust private companies into the limelight, calling for a delicate balance between law, politics, and public relations. Please join us for a discussion with two panels of Jones Day lawyers and outside guests, who will draw on their own experience as former government officials, public policy advocates, and private practitioners.
