Eva Monard's practice focuses on WTO law, EU trade law, export controls, customs law, and EU competition law.

Eva assists clients in EU trade defense investigations involving antidumping, antisubsidy, safeguard, and anticircumvention issues as well as in a full range of other trade matters. She defends clients' interests before EU institutions and EU courts. Eva assists governments during all stages of WTO dispute settlement proceedings before the Panel and the Appellate Body. In addition, she advises clients on the compatibility of legislation with WTO law. Eva also assists governments in drafting their legislation implementing their WTO commitments, in Doha Round trade negotiations, and in negotiations of free trade agreements.

Eva advises clients on obligations under EU export controls law and has assisted clients in complying with obligations relating to dual-use goods and restrictive measures (so-called sanctions) taken by the EU. She advises on particular transactions and prepares and updates compliance policies. She also assists clients with EU customs law matters such as tariff classification, customs valuation, and inward and outward processing. Eva advises clients in investigations relating to the aformentioned matters.

Eva also advises clients on competition law matters, in particular in relation to cartels and merger control.

Eva has presented training courses on trade defense measures to government officials, spoken at international trade conferences, and regularly publishes on trade law, sanctions, and export controls.
