Eric Milne advises commercial and investment banks and corporate borrowers on international banking, international finance, and project and asset finance matters, with particular emphasis on M&A, cross-border, private equity, and leveraged financings. He also has been involved in a broad spectrum of complex financing transactions, including multijurisdictional leveraged buyouts, IPOs, telecom financings, infrastructure financings, securitizations, derivatives transactions, large-scale joint venture arrangements, share purchase agreements, and debt restructurings.
Eric has advised on some of the most innovative transactions in the Middle East/North Africa region. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2010, his representations included Sorouh Real Estate's US$1.1 billion Sun Finance real estate transaction (Emerging Markets Deal of the Year 2008, International Securitisation Report and Structured Finance Deal of the Year 2008, Islamic Finance Awards); MTN Group's acquisition of Dubai-based Investcom for US$5.53 billion, the first acquisition of a Dubai International Financial Exchange (now "NASDAQ Dubai") listed entity; and the bid by a regional consortium for the $2.5 billion Mafraq-Ghweifat PPP road project, Abu Dhabi's first PPP project.
