David Schenck's practice consists of advising clients and leading the strategic defense of major litigation matters in arbitrations and courts in Texas and throughout the United States. His representations have included a broad array of industries and subject matters, with particular emphasis on telecommunications, tax, white-collar defense, False Claims Act claims, and numerous constitutional matters. David is board certified as a civil appellate specialist.

David's representations include Verizon and Southwestern Bell in a variety of telecommunication matters; former EDS affiliate in successful defense of Medicaid qui tam actions; Los Alamos physicist, Dr. Wen Ho Lee, in the successful pursuit of claims in connection with leaks to the media and the rejection of reporters' claimed First Amendment privilege; mothers of Mormon children pursuing return of their children seized from the Yearning for Zion Ranch; the Texas IOLTA program and the Texas Supreme Court in the successful defense of the Texas and national IOLTA programs; and state rifle associations pursuing recognition of individual Second Amendment rights in Heller v. District of Columbia and United States v. Emerson.

He also has represented Abbott Laboratories, Laser Vision Institute, Marathon Oil, Ocwen Loan Servicing, Perot Systems, and Volkswagen in various matters.

In 2007 David was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry as a Texas lottery commissioner. He has received numerous awards, including the Texas Bar's President's Award in 2003; the Texas Tech Law Review's best lead article award in 2009 for his proposal on the restructuring of the Texas appellate courts; and repeated recognition in Texas Monthly's survey of "Super Lawyers."
