Duane Keighran has extensive experience in all aspects of infrastructure and real estate transactions across the Middle East as well as assisting Middle Eastern investors undertake real estate transactions across the globe. He represents a variety of government entities, master developers, landlords, hoteliers, and international investors.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Duane worked on many notable project developments. He advised a listed Abu Dhabi master developer on various developments, such as the Atlas Gardens Morocco, which involved structuring the development of a resort-themed community, including two hotels, a shopping mall, and multiple luxury villas surrounding an 18-hole golf course, and attending meetings in Morocco to negotiate development arrangements and consultancy appointments with local joint venture partners and liaising and managing local counsel. He also handled multiple infrastructure and construction deals, including drafting and negotiating land use and associated agreements for a UAE petroleum company that involved a strategic oil pipeline in the UAE.

Prior to moving to the UAE, he worked in Australia for a property development firm, where he was involved in the development of some of Australia's largest mixed-use communities.

Duane regularly presents papers at conferences and industry events and writes articles for publications.
