Dan Reidy is a trial lawyer with extensive experience handling numerous "high-profile" cases. He represents public companies and individuals involved in criminal matters concerning allegations of antitrust violations, health care fraud, insider trading, other securities fraud, defense contracting fraud, questioned overseas payments, bank fraud, violations of U.S. export restrictions, mail fraud, ERISA violations, questionable payments to public officials, and numerous other substantive areas.
As lead counsel, Dan has tried civil and criminal cases to bench and to jury in state and federal courts, representing both defendants and plaintiffs. As a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office, he specialized in political and judicial corruption cases and in matters involving allegations of complex financial crimes. He was the lead prosecutor in the "Greylord" judicial corruption project and personally prosecuted a number of judges, lawyers, and court personnel.
Dan is Partner-in-Charge of the Chicago Office. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the ABA (Criminal Justice and Litigation Sections), the Federal Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Association, where he served on the board of managers and as an officer, and The Chicago Council of Lawyers. He has taught trial practice to law students and practicing lawyers and has spoken on criminal defense and civil litigation issues at seminars.
