Our lawyers have undertaken a variety of important civil rights cases, including matters involving prisoners' constitutional challenges to parole proceedings, their right to medical, dental, eye, and psychiatric care, and the Prison Litigation Reform Act's exhaustion requirement. We also filed an amicus curiae brief in the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of Human Rights First urging the Court to review a lower court decision addressing the rights of U.S. citizens detained as "enemy combatants." In addition, the Firm successfully represented numerous clients in their claim that for years they were denied access to clean water because of their race.
