As a former public prosecutor, Aldo Verbruggen focuses his practice on financial and economic criminal law, including environmental, medical, and cyber & IT crime, corporate criminal defense, and corporate investigations. He has extensive experience advising on criminal and civil investigations and in defending clients in anticorruption, financial fraud, and securities.

Aldo held various managerial positions at the Dutch Prosecution Service and was involved in establishing the National Prosecutorial Expertise Centre for Fraud. He has successfully defended clients in several high-profile complex fraud and environmental cases. He regularly works with international corporations and their executive officers to provide guidance on compliance and corporate governance issues. Aldo is often consulted by professional and governmental organizations on compliance issues in general, including health and safety issues.
