Andrew O. Wirmani

Andrew Wirmani is an appellate and trial lawyer whose experience ranges from discovery to filing briefs before the United States Supreme Court. On the appellate side, Andrew has argued cases before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Ninth Circuits and filed briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court. At the trial level, he has conducted fact investigations, handled depositions, argued dispositive motions, and co-first chaired a five-day jury trial in federal district court. Andrew has experience in subject and practice areas including constitutional rights, labor and employment, administrative law, intellectual property, state tax, and bankruptcy.

Andrew's recent experience includes drafting multiple winning summary judgment briefs leading to a highly favorable settlement for a Fortune 500 client; arguing Slice v. Ferriter before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, securing a unanimous reversal of an adverse summary judgment on his client's section 1983 claims; arguing against the city of Dallas's motion for summary judgment in a municipal liability case in federal court, securing denial of the motion through a bench ruling; and principally drafting the winning briefs in Dayton Tire v. Secretary of Labor, 10-1362, (2012), wherein the District of Columbia Court of Appeals vacated an order finding that Dayton Tire had committed approximately 100 willful violations of OSHA.

Andrew is a past associate member of the Patrick E. Higginbothom Inn of Court and served for several years on the Judicial Internship Committee of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. He is an active member of the Dallas and Dallas Asian American Bar Associations.
