Andrea Ostolaza is a Peruvian trained-lawyer whose practice is focused on banking and finance, M&A, and general corporate law counseling.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2016, Andrea worked at Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP), the largest Peruvian bank, where she was an in-house counsel as a member of the secretary general's office and the legal division. She provided day-to-day legal advice to the bank in regulatory, compliance, and data protection matters as well as on short and long-term loans for corporate clients. She also served as in-house counsel to Credicorp (NYSE) in Bermuda and to other companies in the BCP economic group in the Cayman Islands, Panama, the United States, Chile, Colombia, and Bolivia. While serving at Credicorp, Andrea participated in several M&A projects such as the acquisition of IM Trust (a large investment bank in Chile), the acquisition of Correval (a large investment bank in Colombia), BCP's spin-off that led to the creation of Credicorp Capital (a Peruvian investment bank), and the acquisition of Mibanco, Banco de la Microempresa.

In addition, Andrea was a member of the task force that led to the incorporation and operation of Patronato BCP, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide scholarships to underprivileged students.
