Adam Greaves is a corporate lawyer with more than 25 years experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance transactions and fund-raisings across a wide variety of sectors. He is head of Jones Day's U.K. Private Equity Practice.

Adam has worked for a range of private equity investors, including Alcuin Capital, Baird Capital Partners, BancBoston Capital, Bowmark Capital, Gresham, Indigo Capital, Inflexion Private Equity, Morgan Stanley Alternative Investments, Net Partners, and Sovereign Capital.

His private equity work includes acting for: SAV Credit on the equity funding of its £385 million ($795 million) purchase of credit card receivables from HSBC Bank plc, Sovereign Capital on the £130 million ($239.5 million) sale of SENAD Group, management on the £275 million ($491 million) buyout of Cabot Financial Holdings Group Limited by Nikko Principal Investments, Inflexion Private Equity on its own buyout from Inflexion plc as well as a range of private equity investments, and Net Transmit & Receive on its group reorganization and related €22 million ($34.3 million) equity investment by Kennet Partners, Atlas Ventures, Elaia Partners, and Debaeque.

Adam also has acted as lead lawyer on a range of other transactions, including, in recent years, the £245 million ($478 million) sale of Linden Holdings Plc to Galliford Try plc, the sale by scheme of arrangement of Deltron Electronics plc to Abacus Group plc, and the successful bid by Contracting Solutions Group for Lorien plc.
