For more than 17 years, Arman Galledari has specialised in energy and project finance. During this time he has acted on the development, financing, and acquisition of a significant number of complex and high-profile energy and infrastructure projects advising private developers, governments, multilateral organisations, export credit agencies, and lenders. His experience in the energy sector includes advising on some of the highest value cross-border, long-term natural gas and power purchase agreements to have been concluded in recent times.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Arman was the managing partner of Norton Rose's Singapore office and head of its Asia energy and project finance group. He practised in London before moving to Singapore.
Arman is a regular speaker at conferences and has written articles on a variety of subjects, including debt restructuring and project finance in Asia. Arman has been awarded several accolades in recent years as a leading lawyer in banking & finance by Chambers Global (2004-2007), in project finance for the last four consecutive years by Asia Pacific Legal 500, and in project finance for the last three consecutive years by Asia Law and by International Who's Who in Law. He was named "Project Finance Lawyer of the Year" in 2003 by Asian Legal Business.
