Anne-Cécile Hansson Lecoanet has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law (mergers and acquisitions, investments, restructurings, and commercial agreements) primarily related to business matters between Sweden and France and between France and the other Nordic countries.
Examples of her client representations involving France and Sweden include: The Sherwin-Williams Company in its worldwide acquisition from AB Wilh. Becker of Becker Acroma Industrial Wood Coatings, one of the largest manufacturers of industrial wood coatings globally, headquartered in Märsta, Sweden; Bisnode AB in its acquisition of two French companies, Directinet SA and Netcollections SAS; OE Holding SA in its acquisition by Recordati S.p.A.; Compagnie de Fives-Lille in its acquisition of Sandvik Sorting Systems AB; Wavecom SA in its acquisition of the assets of the M2M automatic and telematics business of Sony Ericsson; and Pricer AB in its acquisition of the group Eldat Communication Ltd.
Anne-Cécile also has experience in international arbitration, acting as counsel for French, Swedish, and international clients, in accordance with the rules of the ICC and the SCC related to contract disputes. Her practice involves commercial and civil litigation before the French courts, primarily for Swedish companies and French subsidiaries of Swedish companies as well as for clients of other nationalities.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Anne-Cécile worked for seven years in the Paris office of a Swedish law firm. She is a member of the Paris and Swedish Bars and has been a member of the Board of the Swedish Club in Paris between 2002 and 2011.
